Captain Jeth Nova is a smuggler and con-artist from Kriselist. His father was in and out of Imperial prison. He grew up in the undercity joining a swoop gang when he was thirteen. At fifteen he lost a large investment when he crashed his swoop and hid out on a space transport owned by a smuggler named Khovyn. Caught as a stowaway, he charmed the captain into allowing him to join the crew if he pulled his weight. He didn't manage to do this and was abandoned, along with DD-BT, and adminmech droid, on a remote trash world where he "found" the Wraith.
Jeth and his first mate, Mex, joined the Rebellion to make money, but that didn't work out. But eventually his relationship with Clara and the fact that Mex had the potential to be a Jedi that kept him around.
Now that Mex has gone to learn to understand and use her powers in a safe and secret place, Jeth's reckless behavior has increased, but his loyalty to Clara and the cause have remained.
